The reason for giving this name to this place, which contains the most important formations of fairy chimneys in the region, is that 3 fairy chimney formations are seen together. This place, which is our first stop, is a viewing area.
MUSTAFAPAŞA VILLAGE (GREEK TOWN)
This town was used by people of Greek origin until 1923, but as a result of the Lausanne Treaty signed after the 1st World War, Turkey and Greece mutually exchanged populations. Today, traces of ancient Greek structures can still be seen in this town. Some churches and religious buildings belonging to the old people are still preserved in this town. One of the most important examples of this is the Constantine Eleni Church, located in the town square.
KEŞLIK MONASTERY
This monastery complex, which is 10 km away from the town of Mustafapaşa, was large enough to accommodate approximately 200 people. Inside the complex, there are two churches, a grocer, a winery, a kitchen, a dining hall, a school, a meeting hall, a holy spring, houses of monks and priests. Two churches in this monastery are dedicated to the archangel named Mikhail (arkhangelos) and St. Srefanosa, who is considered the first martyr of the Christian world.
SOBESSOS ANCIENT CITY
The ancient city of Sobessos, which was unearthed by some people who made unauthorized excavations in this region and was later excavated as a result of the studies carried out by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was built as a villa when it was first built, and later turned into a church structure. At the base of the building, there are some mosaics that are very rare in the region. These mosaics are thought to be about 1600 years old. Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, a local university that works on the mosaic remains unearthed in this ancient city, dates these remains from BC. stated that it was dated to the 4th century.
SOĞANLI VALLEY
The Soğanlı Valley, which has witnessed different lives for thousands of years, is home to interesting rock formations used as dovecotes, caves, shelters, churches and monasteries. The Soğanlı valley, which has a very interesting geographical structure, is famous for its churches from the Roman period as a very old settlement area. The most famous of these churches are; DOMED CHURCH, HIDDEN CHURCH, SNAKE CHURCH and KARABAS CHURCH
MAZI UNDERGROUND CITY
4 entrances could be detected in different places; The main entrance is a corridor built with irregular stones. The large bolt stone in the short corridor controls the entrance and exit of the underground city. The small room inside is made for comfortable movement of the sliding stone. The barns, which spread over large areas of the underground settlement, are no different from the others. The church of the underground city can be reached through a short corridor from the stables. The entrance of this place can be closed with a bolt stone. The church apse is carved into the corner and its façade is decorated with reliefs.
